The mojito, a breath of fresh Havana air

Mint, lime, rum and sparkling water: the story and the secret of a good mojito.

Born in Cuba, the mojito is one of the most famous cocktails in the world. It is said to descend from a sailors’ drink made of cane spirit, lime and mint, softened over time with rum.

The ingredients

  • white rum;
  • fresh lime;
  • fresh mint;
  • sugar;
  • sparkling water and plenty of ice.

The secret

The mint is gently pressed with the sugar and lime: the goal is to release its aromas, not to crush it, or it turns bitter. Then ice, rum, a dash of sparkling water, and a stir from the bottom up.

At our place

At the bar, the mojito sits alongside our cocktails of the moment and our homemade infused rums. In the evening, it is the best way to start the night.

Please drink responsibly.
